Spending a couple of days with my parents in New Mexico. It snowed 12-18 inches a couple of days before we showed up so our car wouldn’t make it up the road to my parent’s cabin. We parked the car down the road.

We took the kids out sledding this morning. There are few pictures here.

Snapped this photo just before we roasted marshmallows for smores on Christmas Eve. Making s’mores is a Christmas Eve tradition for us. We follow up s’mores with a viewing of the Nativity Story. Merry Christmas everybody.

Braden’s Addiction

We were out of town all weekend and Braden began to get the shakes. 36 hours without video football was more than he could stand. He had to settle for throwing a real football outside. Just kidding, Brado would much rather throw the real ball over the virtual ball. However, I still think he’s addicted to Madden NFL.

Nana doesn’t have a PlayStation, Xbox or Wii. It’s old school but lots of fun.

Braden and I mowed the yard this morning. Fall is here for sure. We have six oak trees in our yard and the leaves never stop falling. Mowing this morning was more like vacuuming than cutting grass.

We currently live in Texas, but have spent several years living on an island in the Indian Ocean. Many of the photos and videos on our site are from those days.

Bye-bye Facebook

Well it has been too long since I last updated. When we got back to the USA, I started using Facebook as a way to update and pretty much neglected the blog. Facebook continues to be a major frustration to me. I like to use Facebook as a one-way communication (my info going out… not coming in) and Facebook continues to force me to allow two-way communication. It’s not all bad, I just dont like having messages, chats and emails all scattered around. I forget about them when I don’t see them. I’m pretty simple… I need it all in one place. So starting today, I have deactivated my FB account. All of my posts will come from the blog and feed my Facebook fan page… bobbycox72. This way people can find me when they search for me on FB, but will be forced to use my email address or phone to contact me. I think this will work a lot better and I will do a better job of updating our blog. I’m planning to change the blog look and feel too. So stay tuned.
